"We Know The Location Of Abducted Chibok Girls; We Are Only Being Careful" - Nigerian Govt Insists

National Security Council (NSC), Monday [July 21] insisted that the location of over 200 abducted schoolgirlshas been well known but the security agencies were being careful in their approach to avoid having casualties among the abducted girls.
Director of State Security (SSS), Ita Ekpeyong disclosed this while fielding questions from State House correspondents, shortly after the National Security Council (NSC) meeting presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.

He said "the issue of Chibok girls, government is making efforts. We know where they are but we don't want to endanger their lives, that is the truth, we want to take itgradually and release them at the appropriate time. We know where they are, you can go to bed with that."

On what transpired at the meeting, he said it was the war against Boko Haram, adding that efforts are being made by government to rescue the Chibok girls. He said the issue of deportation, registration of Nigerians in states of the federation, which he noted as even more potent than Boko Haram, were discussed by the council.
